Is Sourdough Bread Better?
Sourdough bread tastes much better than conventional bread in my opinion, but is it also better for you? Even though it’s basic nutrition profile resembles that of other breads, Sourdough bread is often easier to digest due to it’s prebiotic and probiotic-like properties. The long fermentation process degrades the gluten to a greater extent than baker’s yeast, and also produces changes in the bread that allow for better blood sugar control.
